It looks from that last analyze -v output that you posted that Chrome was the cause of the BSOD. The culprit is unlikely to be Chrome itself but is much more likely to be a bad extension. You can either disable extensions in Chrome individually to locate the faulty one or you can start Chrome without extensions and verify that the system doesn't BSOD.

We need you to do what that link asks, specifically download and run the Sysnative Data Collector app, then upload the resulting zip file.

You can either disable extensions in Chrome individually to locate the faulty one or you can start Chrome without extensions and verify that the system doesn't BSOD.

The only reason chrome.exe appears in that call stack is because the user has run !analyze-v on a full memory dump.

Before running you need to switch to Small Memory Dumps and not a complete Memory Dump which is not needed most of the time unless is specifically asked for.

So before doing what you have missed do this : https://www.windowscentral.com/how-manage-crash-dump-settings-windows-10 change to Small Dump Collection.

After your next 3 BSOD's with small collection turned on or set. Then do what you have been missing in the instructions for posting which is :

You are not doing the very 1st instruction in the Instruction URL which is :

1. Download the Sysnative BSOD Dump + System File Collection App - save to Documents folder - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/pages/bsodcollectionapp/ RUN IT.

2. Run the Sysnative app - Double-click on the downloaded EXE file

The two outputs from the Sysnative app are:

  • new folder created in Documents,SysnativeFileCollectionApp
  • a zipped version,SysnativeFileCollectionApp.zip

Do not start a new topic : - attach theSysnativeFileCollectionApp.zipfile to the message.

How to attach : 3 step Process : https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/698076/attaching-files-to-posts-on-bleepingcomputer/#entry4791802

I see sorry for the late reply I'll try to get it done if it stays on long enough

What actually is the problem here? Your OP says that you're getting BSODs installing Windows but all the minidumps show Chrome as the process in control? Can you explain exactly what problems you're having?

In addition there's something weird with your disk storage too. the MSInfo and DXDiag outputs shows two fixed drives; one is an Intel SSD and the other is a WD Blue, the WD Blue has only 2.3GB of free space! However, the Speccy output shows only the Intel SSD - where did the WD Blue go when you ran Speccy?

The first dump shows a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50) error

4: kd> !analyze -v******************************************************************************** ** Bugcheck Analysis ** ********************************************************************************PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except.Typically the address is just plain bad or it is pointing at freed memory.Arguments:Arg1: ffffffffffffff8a, memory referenced.Arg2: 0000000000000002, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation.Arg3: fffff8037d20b6a5, If non-zero, the instruction address which referenced the bad memory address.Arg4: 0000000000000002, (reserved)

The debugger blames Chrome.exe .

Output from the second dump shows an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a) error.

******************************************************************************** ** Bugcheck Analysis ** ********************************************************************************IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at aninterrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usuallycaused by drivers using improper addresses. If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.Arguments:Arg1: 0000000000000000, memory referencedArg2: 0000000000000002, IRQLArg3: 0000000000000001, bitfield : bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)Arg4: fffff80721207f59, address which referenced memory

It also blames Chrome.

The third dump suggest a KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE (139) error.

******************************************************************************** ** Bugcheck Analysis ** ********************************************************************************KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE (139)A kernel component has corrupted a critical data structure. The corruptioncould potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this machine.Arguments:Arg1: 0000000000000000, A stack-based buffer has been overrun.Arg2: 0000000000000000, Address of the trap frame for the exception that caused the BugCheckArg3: 0000000000000000, Address of the exception record for the exception that caused the BugCheckArg4: ffffb286ffd61e00, Reserved

Kernel Security Check Failure is a more serious error.

Microsoft Learn: Kernel Security Check Failure Error:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/debugger/bug-check-0x139--kernel-security-check-failure

Typically, this error is caused by a serious bug in a hardware driver.

For this reason, I suggest you download all the most up-to-date version of all hardware drivers, starting with the ones for your motherboard. From where did you obtain the drivers that are currently on your PC?

Did you

- Let Windows install them/update them via the Internet?

- Download them yourself from your motherboard maker's webpage for your model?

Always avoid using any third-party (not from your motherboard manufacturer's) driver update utilities, as most of them either don't work, or cause more problems than they solve. Some of them are even malware. The only exception is using Intel or AMD's update utilities, as they are, of course created by the core people who make the main chipsets.

The fourth dump shows a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50) error. It also blames Chrome

Debugging Details:------------------******************************************************************************** ** Bugcheck Analysis ** ********************************************************************************PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except.Typically the address is just plain bad or it is pointing at freed memory.Arguments:Arg1: ffffd204e537c000, memory referenced.Arg2: 0000000000000011, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation.Arg3: ffffd204e537c000, If non-zero, the instruction address which referenced the bad memory address.Arg4: 0000000000000002, (reserved)

Here's the MS Learn page for that error:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/debugger/bug-check-0x50--page-fault-in-nonpaged-area

Here's an excerpt from that page

Cause

Bug check 0x50 can be caused by the installation of a faulty system service or faulty driver code. Antivirus software can also trigger this error, as can a corrupted NTFS volume.

It could also occur after the installation of faulty hardware or in the event of failure of installed hardware (usually related to defective RAM, be it main memory, L2 RAM cache, or video RAM).

This again suggests replacing all drivers that are available for your motherboard with the latest versions, as downloaded from the manufacturer's webpage for your model.

And stop running Chrome, for now. If it crashes regularly, why aren't you using another browser? (Of course, Chrome may just be on the memory stack when the crashes occur, and probably isn't the full cause, but it may have something in it that makes crashing more likely.

Since drive volume corruption can also cause these crashes, I agree it would be a good idea to run chkdsk on your drives to see if it detects any problems in the logical volumes. Post the output here.

If we end up discovering that your machine crashes right after a fresh install (meaning: before you install any programs or drivers at all), we'll need to dive more deeply into changing how your Windows setup installs things.

D'oh! I knew I should've mentioned firmware updates.

That being said, pk, what are you talking about in terms of buying a new system. This is a Ryzen-5 based system. How is that obsolete?

Ok, well you find it's driver page. Unless get the correct ending for the proper system name which this is not : taken from DxDiagx86 : TG01-1xxx there is no drivers except 3rd party. Need what this is : 1xxx

As per Firmware page think saw 3 versions of system maybe more.

Is why said correct Model Name. The OP has caused running around in circles by not following directions, finding we do not have the proper name of the system is not surprising and the onus is on the OP to find their drivers and make sure is on the firmware list. Or supply the proper make/model. is a dead horse until has done so or goes to their page as they should know the URL (yet not supplied as per usual).

Should have kept out of this after frustration hit a while ago.

At lease persistence payed off in finally getting the Sysnativecollection. But how that jives with Post # 7 and Chrome accidentally it seems caught up in the mess not sure.
