Hi,
Im currently at 630,000 and the max I have reached is around 666,000. Is this some sort of limit? Whats the max you guys have reached?
As you can see, it seems to have plateaued at this max for a few years now
I have good employment percentage
and my traffic seems reasonable for my city size

Wow, that city is even more amazing than before!
I'd be very curious to see your limits

you're very close on vehicles active and citizen units(whatever that is). my guess is you hit those limits, and that prevents further growth.

Thanks guys. Limit says Citizens can reach up to 1 million plus. Any advise how I can reach this? I dont want to add industries and commercial as my employment rate is already very low. If I add more, I will run into not enough workers problems right?

All CO figures are based on gamers playing on the optimum 9 tiles. Using mods to unlock more tiles on which to build will inevitably run into problems at some point deep into your play. Your city certainly looks amazing but the density combined with number of mods & assets is probably your issue. You've possibly pushed the game to the limit. Yes people play on 81 tiles but a) what are their PC spec- RAM CPU etc, b) how dense is their city? c) how many mods/assets are they running? It can be a toxic mix. What appears to work for one person might therefore not work for another.
Remember, you can only stretch a rubber band so far until it snaps. Looking forward to seeing more images of your city.

Wow, what a beautiful city, love what you've done with it. Do you use any mods or is that simply vanilla?

I think I've reached roughly 350k at most, which dropped pretty quickly after a famine. It's impressive that you can maintain 600k+.

Very nice. The second pic looks like a photograph of an actual city, I can never get out of the habit of gridding, especially if I was going for an epic population.
The highest I got was 300,000. 9 tiles and no mods.
Maybe its because you reached the maximum citizen units, but you have no res demand either. Looking at that you need to generate more R demand with I but getting that far I guess you are well aware of that and thats not the problem.

We're not pushing any supposed limit of the game. That would imply we're allowed to. CO put a child lock on the agent limits and that's what OP is running into.

It looks amazing
I have reached 300k on a vanilla map 9 tiles no mods.
I did it by removing all the industry and commerce first time I hit the 300k mark, but I didn't like it so went back to the one with all the traffic and polluting industry .
What is that behind your cargo dockyards?
Is it industry or garbage heaps?
Would love a close up of the dock area if you would be so kind?
I seem to have a fetish for the less attractive areas of cities lol

that is pretty as hell
my best so far was around 400k, but it kinda started slowing down at that point due to maybe reaching max limit on vehicles or something similar, which led to zero growth in all sectors and eventual decline.
I think my 16gb RAM should be stronk enough to handle even more population, but I am not sure if the game itself allows much higher numbers.
Or would a machine with 64gb RAM somehow allow over million pops?

What map is that?

I think one time I manged to push over 100k. I'm playing on a laptop (a pretty good one but still) and the game starts to slow down pretty badly at 50k.

I'm finding I need more balance in my city. I have plenty of highways to get people places, now I need them off the road. I've blalncing my areas better so they don't have agents leaving the area and going somewhere else.
You have a lot of red roads, so maybe to could try rebalancing the areas so it doesn't generate excessive traffic.
I was at 600k, then dropped to 430k and now slowly 550k. Although my pop fluctuate from 450k to 550k. It's been acting up since AD and day night cycle.
Right now I'm segregating my trains again. I had local and out trains segregated, now I need to segregate my section, ie, NE, SE, NW, & SE sections. One for each outside connection.

Great city and nice.
I have come to 505K cims. http://i.imgur.com/EUlpmH6.png
I think that as long as space and go putting residential area and normal playing, you will keep rising population. When you do not have physical space map, bad business ..
Unless that limit of game you arrived, "citizen units" to influence, I'm not sure.
