12. Sidebar

The Best 12 Bars in Naples [2024 June Update] (1)

You have to know that the name is not a typo. Sidebar may be seen on the side of a three-story building at the junction of Fifth Avenue and Fifth Street. Once inside, the ambiance is mid century contemporary vintage, with sputnik lighting, blue velvet chairs, and tufted leather couches. This is all the more reason to savor your French 75 or old-fashioned. Sidebar is another of my favorite spots to have drinks while I’m in Naples along 5th Avenue. This bar is a little hidden away and doesn’t receive as much recognition as it should for being such a pleasant location to hang out. Sidebar’s decor is stylish and refined, but at night it takes on a cozier, warmer atmosphere that is so friendly and calming that you’ll forget about your problems outside.

Every co*cktail on their menu is made with the utmost care and attention, so each drink is its unique experience meticulously designed by professional bartenders. Marty Kenney and David Ladic, longtime Naples friends, have opened Sidebar 505, a three-story structure on the northeast corner of Fifth Avenue South and Fifth Street South, next door to Bluemercury, a significant beauty products business and facility. Above the building are two stories of residential units. Kenney, a well-known Marco Island entrepreneur who grew up on the island and founded local favorites such as Pelican Larry’s, Joey D’s Pizzeria, and Soul Bowls restaurants, says the duo chose the cozy 1,500 square-foot spots adjacent to Fifth Avenue South. They named their joint venture “Sidebar” because it is located on the side of the newly constructed 505 Fifth Avenue South building.

Fifth Avenue South is an intimate community, and our neighborhood has only grown slightly. Whether exploring the world or searching for a new local hangout, the new Sidebar 505’s interior design is as robust as its beverages. Outstanding experiences are about ambiance and beautifully built locations as much as unusual mixtures. At Sidebar 505, he explains that their objective is to transfer guests to a comfortable, private setting for a moment of relaxation and escape. According to Kenney, as you enter this speakeasy-inspired co*cktail lair, you’ll find a dimly lit, intimate environment packed with tufted leather couches, chairs, and banquettes that give the place a modern industrial vibe. There is plenty of space at the white onyx bar and a communal table, highlighted with cobalt blue walls, a herringbone oak floor, and a unique ceiling design.

11. Whiskey Park

The Best 12 Bars in Naples [2024 June Update] (2)

Whiskey Park might seem like an entertainment park for your palette if you have a fondness for dark spirits. You can credit over 70 different whiskey, bourbon, and Scotch variations, which you may enjoy while eating a brisket sandwich or some pork belly sliders at your whiskey barrel table. It is an energetic tavern featuring craft beers, whiskey & bar grub, pool tables, live music & a patio. This bar is a New Orleans-inspired restaurant that embodies the laid-back atmosphere of a Speakeasy. It was designed with a relaxed approach to good food, craft beer, and live music. The bar offers over 70 rare whiskey, bourbon, and scotch types. Whiskey Park’s proprietors, Larry Hoelzer and Chris Prattini began with a friendship and evolved into a serious commercial effort.

Larry was the previous proprietor of Grumpy’s Ale House, located in The Pavilion shopping complex, for eight years. Chris Prattini, chef and co-owner, inspired the menu with foods from his history, such as a smokehouse brisket he remembered eating before attending culinary school. Prattini, born in New Orleans, gave several of the menu dishes a Cajun flavor. Prattini, who worked as an executive chef at Truluck’s for numerous years, was the restaurant’s first chef when it debuted in Naples many years ago. He was also the assistant general manager of Brio Tuscan Grille at Waterside Shops for eight years. They have excellent service during lunch! Their excellent pre-planning of the lunch with Nicole/Mgr via phone and text is impeccable. We arrived Friday at 12:45 pm with 36 guests after a tour at Revs.

We were all hungry. We were seated immediately. Drink orders were taken directly. 2 tables and two servers, and everyone’s food order and checks were correct. Food was delicious, from wings, burgers, salads, pretzels, fried mushrooms, grilled cheese, quesadillas, pulled pork sandwiches, and wraps. Everything was hot and plentiful, and I couldn’t ask for more. Our lunch bill was $53 plus tip. We had two soft drinks, two beers, wings, French dip, and fried mushrooms. So, ultimately, everything about this bar is excellent, and you will return after one visit. Therefore, this is one of the best bars Naples, Florida, has to offer you. If you are in the city, we highly recommend that you visit this bar at least once. Go with your family, friends, or loved ones for a memorable time. Their food is impeccable and top-notch!

10. The Bevy

The Best 12 Bars in Naples [2024 June Update] (3)

If you only remember one thing from this list, make it this: happy hour is available every day at The Bevy. Yes, Saturdays and Sundays are included. That entitles you to $5 house wines and draught beers and 50% off their whole dinner menu. But don’t overlook the whole co*cktail menu – the prickly pear margarita and Bevy punch are ideal for people-watching at the bar. It is a new American cuisine, brunch & co*cktails in a unique indoor-outdoor space with a vertical garden and a fun, modern atmosphere in downtown Naples, FL, off 3rd Street. The clever, U-shaped bar dominates the restaurant, conceptually and visually, as this new popular downtown place unabashedly wears its drink-and-party purpose.

Okay, so it utilizes the phrase Sip + Socializes, which fits better with the new building on 12th Avenue’s sophisticated, sleek style. However, this does not imply that the kitchen desires. Yes, the General Pepper martini (green chili vodka and prickly pear liqueur) and other inventive craft co*cktails – such as the Cedar Fire Old Fashioned with maple syrup and candied bacon – are causing a stir at The Bevy (short for “beverage”). Wait until you have a go at the apple and prosciutto flatbread, lamb ragout (with pappardelle and whipped goat cheese), beet salad with carrot ginger dressing, or Hot and Cru. Then you’ll understand that eating isn’t an afterthought. Open-air dining rooms flank the bar, which fills up quickly once the doors open at 3:00. We recommend this venue for bars because Downtown Naples’ newest hot spot makes drinking seem classy again.

Craft beer enthusiasts will discover local brews on tap. Naples Beach Brewery has your favorite taste. The Happy Hour promotion is subject to change without notice and is based on the restaurant’s capacity. Their kitchen is now OPEN until late at night, and they are committed to making your night downtown perfect with all your favorite drinks and small foods. They feature a late-night menu with all your favorites, plus new bonus bites. They are the perfect place to meet up with friends or cap off your evening with drinks. At this venue, Gluten sensitive, vegetarian, and vegan options are always available. So, ultimately, everything about this bar is excellent, and you will return after one visit. Therefore, this is one of the best bars in Naples. If you are in the city, we highly recommend that you visit this bar at least once.

9. The Continental

The Best 12 Bars in Naples [2024 June Update] (4)

The Continental is a stylish, Parisian-inspired eatery offering creative spins on steakhouse classics & craft co*cktails. Yes, it’s a steakhouse. And while you can come here for carnivorous purposes, the bartenders also know their way around bottles. The 30-seat artisan co*cktail bar is dressed up enough for a date yet casual enough to unwind after a hard day at work. A whiskey co*cktail feels right here, but the Huerto de Fuego with mezcal, a brown sugar sage reduction, and habanero peach shrub is never bad. An out-of-the-box steakhouse, its courtyard seating area turns into a hot music and dance arena as night falls. It also touts its reputation for craft co*cktails, some filling glass orbs overhanging the outdoor bar. They include the smooth Continental Innovation, blended with Death’s Door gin, Cocchi Americano Bianco, Carpano Bianco, and grapefruit bitters.

Made-to-order craft co*cktails include a Sazarac stirred with Old Overholt rye whiskey, yellow chartreuse, absinthe, and Peychaud’s bitters; The Church Key, a blend of Four Roses small batch bourbon, blueberry-sage shrub, and lemon. The Continental’s savvy wine menu lists 25 by the glass and devotes one page-plus each to “Chardonnay in Every Style,” “Burgundian Descendants,” and other categories. Bar and late-night menus serve out-of-the-ordinary bar food until midnight. We recommend this venue for Bars because The Continental is known for its craft co*cktails and impressive wine list, plus there’s live entertainment. Our expert tip: The Continental burger blends scraps from its fine steaks. Divine! Delivery is available through GrubHub Specialty steaks cut by their butcher Butcher Chops.

D’Amico’s The Continental American Provisions and The Craft Bar is an excellent combination of hand-cut butcher steak restaurant and craft bar on Naples Third Street South, adding even more intrigue with a precisely constructed indoor and outdoor atmosphere of New York Steakhouse meets 1920’s Parisian Bistro. Explore their fare from land & sea while enjoying classic libations with a twist. Their steaks, hand-cut by a butcher, use only the finest prime Wagyu and Piedmontese beef. They feature a 30-seat Craft co*cktail Bar and live entertainment. They have a gorgeous setting, excellent service and fantastic food. It is a clean venue and operates with perfect social distancing rules in place. Bravo, you will be so happy to be back! So, ultimately, everything about this bar is excellent, and you will return after one visit. If you are in the city, we highly recommend that you visit this bar at least once.

8. Bar Tulia

The Best 12 Bars in Naples [2024 June Update] (5)

A bar so good that they went twice. Yes, there are now two Bar Tulia, one on Fifth Avenue adjacent to Osteria Tulia and the other in Mercato. This quaint Italian pub’s two locations routinely serve great drinks and a vibrant clientele that knows how to get down with a bottle of wine and some antipasti. Bar Tulia, which bills itself as an Italian gastropub, grew up adjacent to its elder sibling Osteria Tulia, a livelier and younger counterpart with a more dynamic bar scene. Unlike traditional British or Irish pubs, the emphasis here is on handmade co*cktails and great cuisine rather than beer. It DOES have “Birra” from Italy, Florida, and other places.

The artisan co*cktails range from classics to innovative concoctions with names like Don’t Call Me Pina, Basil Advice, and Devil’s Backbone. Fried pig ears, grilled fennel sausage, charred octopus, fish tacos, beef short rib burger, pizza, and spaghetti are among the favorites. We recommend this venue for Bars because Bar Tulia is the nightlife hot spot on Fifth Avenue South. Our expert tip: The Roman Ramen puts a hip spin on that old dorm-room standby with pork belly, sausage, mussels, and shrimp. Anyone who has had the absolute joy of dining there should not be surprised that it is ranked top. Bar Tulia is one of my favorite locations to grab drinks in Naples because of the rustic and cozy environment and the fantastic cuisine and beverages. Bar Tulia can be found off 5th Avenue, not far from Cambier Park and 5th Avenue Beach, among other amazing stores and restaurants.

What I like best about Bar Tulia’s bar is that it nearly seems like you’re in someone’s home somewhere in the Italian countryside, being served hand-crafted drinks and gourmet pizza. This downtown Naples neighborhood dining bar invites wine fans, beer drinkers, and foodies together with its hip yet small tavern-style ambiance. Bar Tulia pays respect to hidden gems from tiny wineries and craft brewers locally and internationally while providing an all-night cuisine menu in the trendiest settings. Bar Tulia, open virtually every day until midnight delivers classic but modern pub grub with a rustic Italian touch to meet the palate of the sophisticated late-night clientele. So, ultimately, everything about this bar is excellent, and you will return after one visit. If you are in the city, we highly recommend that you visit this bar at least once.

6. The Pub Naples

The Best 12 Bars in Naples [2024 June Update] (7)

The Pub in Naples is a fantastic spot to have drinks if you’re in the city and want a lively, British-themed experience along with some of the most delicious fish and chips outside London’s foggy streets. It is a cozy, casual watering hole known for traditional British pub grub & a variety of beers. Experience a British Pub complete with brilliant food, drink, and genuine hospitality. Voted Best Fish and Chips in the U.S. by England’s Greene King Brewing. This establishment is heaven for beer enthusiasts like myself. The Pub’s menu includes ales, IPAs, lagers, sour beers, hard seltzers, ciders, and other refreshing options. Don’t forget to taste some whiskey from the featured distillery, or purchase a flight of whiskey samples to try if that’s more your thing. Despite being a modernized, Americanized version of the British pub tradition, it is popular among fans of beer, fine liquors, and pub food.

It is located along a bar strip in Mercato Shops, a vibrant and trendy shopping and entertainment complex. This is a chain, like many others, and it seems a bit cookie-cutter. It does, however, take its tipples seriously, with over 23 English, Irish, Belgian, and American beers on tap, as well as rotating local craft brews. It also has a good collection of single-malt scotches and small batch and single barrel bourbons. Classics like Shepherd’s Pie and Bangers & Mash are available, as well as burgers, salads, and sandwiches. We recommend this location for Bars because it is almost always packed and has an amazing selection of beer and spirits. The terrace is the finest place to people-watch; the indoors are gloomy and unnecessarily air-conditioned. This is the place to go if you’re searching for a wonderful location with a British flavor.

The vibe is usually upbeat and eclectic. The beer is excellent. Their scotch eggs and fish & chips are fantastic! You will adore this location, its surroundings, food, and people. Their service is quick, and the waiters are enthusiastic. It has a positive feeling.

2. Little Bar

The Best 12 Bars in Naples [2024 June Update] (11)

Little Bar is a low-key oceanside eatery offering a large variety of seafood, steaks, beer & co*cktails. Goodland, the fishing village, may be summed up as eccentric. Similarly, the Little Bar is one of four drinking hole eateries that visitors and (idiosyncratic) locals like. Many guests arrive by boat during the day for traditional Everglades fare like frog legs and stone crab claws. After dark, the setting transforms into a neighborhood party, with live music and drinking on the bayside terrace or indoors. The interior is pieced together using salvaged wood from a historic yacht, pipe organ parts, stained glass, and diverse components with unique backstories. We suggest this venue for Bars because: there is nothing else like it in the world; it embodies the locality and is a lot of fun.

Our expert tip: Come in summer for Spammy Jammy for a full taste of Little Bar. Consider individuals in their pajamas fighting against Spam’s culinary and architectural wonders. Passionate, carefree, and probably even reckless, your time at Goodland’s Little Bar Restaurant may go down in history. Many guests arrive by boat during the day for traditional Everglades fare like frog legs and stone crab claws. After dark, the setting transforms into a neighborhood party, with live music and drinking on the bayside terrace or indoors. Little Bar is open seven days a week until at least midnight or until everyone has finished singing. Little Bar’s summer season concludes with the annual Spammy Jammy bash in late June.

They serve diverse cuisine. Fresh seafood such as grouper, soft shell crab, stone crab claws, steaks, prime rib, lunch and supper specialties, and traditional waterfront fare are available. In the tiny Bar, the best live entertainment is provided. You can get there by bike, boat, or Bugatti. So, ultimately, everything about this Bar is excellent, and you will return after one visit. Therefore, this is one of the best bars Naples, Florida, has to offer you. If you are in the city, we highly recommend you visit this Bar at least once.

1. Kane Tiki Bar & Grill

The Best 12 Bars in Naples [2024 June Update] (12)

Kane is a breezy hotel tiki bar featuring diverse Asian bites & an extensive rum selection, plus scenic water views. Kane was added to the JW Marriott brand in 2015 and served as the resort’s primary beach bar. Its open, tiki style complements the Polynesian food and views of the gulf and white sand. So, Kane’s skilled bartenders serve approximately 70 different exquisite rum from Barbados to Brazil. The bar also has a selection of Florida craft beers on tap. Beachy appetites are satisfied with finger snacks, nutritious bowls, and sliders.

We chose this location for Bars because it offers the finest view of any bar on Marco Island and is popular with beachgoers and visitors. Our expert tip: Try the PuPu Platter and rum flight tasting to sample what Kane is all about. Kane is located at 400 S Collier Blvd, Marco Island, FL. Kane’s Tiki Bar and Grill at the J.W. This is a nice and entertaining beach bar. When we visit Marco Island, we regularly stop here. Kane’s Tiki Bar and Grill is a nice location to unwind with an umbrella co*cktail in the afternoon.
