There’s something about Naples’ heady sun-sand-and-sea combo that begs for an icy beer. Or a frozen daiquiri. Or maybe a whiskey on the rocks to wind down the night. Whatever you decide, Naples has a bar for that.

The mixology renaissance has landed in this coastal Florida town and your happy hours are all the better for it. Don’t worry — you can still find yourself a tropical frozen drink, but now you have breweries, whiskey dens and cigar bars to expand your imbibing experience.

Ready to order a round? Here’s where to find the best bars in Naples — because it’s five o’ clock somewhere.

First thing you should know: the name’s no misnomer. To find Sidebar, you’ll have to head to the side of a three-story building on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Fifth Street. Once you’re there, it’s midcentury modern retro vibes — sputnik lighting, blue velvet seats, tufted leather couches. All the better to enjoy your French 75 or old-fashioned with.

If you have a thing for brown spirits, Whiskey Park can feel like an amusem*nt park for your palate. You have over 70 different varieties of whiskey, bourbon and Scotch to thank for that, all of which you can sip over a brisket sandwich or some pork belly sliders at your whiskey barrel table.

If there’s nothing you take away from this list, remember this: happy hour is every single day at The Bevy. Yep, Saturdays and Sundays, too. That’ll get you $5 house wines and draft beers along with 50% off their entire dinner menu. But don’t sleep on the full co*cktail menu — the prickly pear margarita and Bevy punch are just the thing for indulging in a bit of people watching at the bar.

Yes, it’s a steakhouse. And while you can definitely come here for carnivorous purposes, the bartenders also know their way around bottle. The 30-seat craft co*cktail bar feels gussied up enough for a dress-to-impress date, but comfortable enough to kick back after a long day at work. A whiskey co*cktail feels right here, but the Huerto de Fuego with mezcal, a brown sugar sage reduction and habanero peach shrub is never a bad idea.

A bar so nice they decided to go in twice. Yep, there are now two Bar Tulias — you’ll find one next to Osteria Tulia on Fifth Avenue and the other in Mercato. Both locations of this cozy Italian pub consistently churn out solid co*cktails and a lively crowd that know how to get down with a glass of wine and some antipasti.

Naples Beach is the area’s first brewery. And befitting such an honor, it’s only right to pay your respects by heading over to this no-frills warehouse spot and sampling the head-spinning array of drafts. With over 20 different varieties of house-brewed beer on tap, it might be a good call to put in an order at one of the food trucks parked outside. Just saying.

Oh look, it’s your friendly neighborhood British pub. Fish and chips: check. English pale ales: check. Live music that makes you want to put an arm around your neighbor and unabashedly sing to your heart’s content: triple check. Need more proof that The Pub is the real deal? The Union Jack swag is a dead giveaway.

Located on Naples scene-y Fifth Avenue, this eclectic spot sports funky murals on the wall, reclaimed wood walls and a web of Edison lights hanging over the bar. It’s about as gastropub-y as Naples gets. But the draw here is the bar menu, which features a build-your-own Moscow Mule, housemade sangria and a riff off the classic Bees Knees with a lavender-thyme infusion.

Cavo has the whole Clark Kent/Superman persona working for it: mild-mannered lounge by day, rowdy dance club at night. The lounge straddles both the inside and outside of the restaurant with subtle Spanish décor notes and cushy seating. On a sunny day, it’s just the place to be for a glass of frosé or a four-glass flight made up of Cavo’s seven different mules.

Here’s one thing Burn isn’t — subtle. It’s like walking into a royal Moroccan palace, complete with stained glass lanterns, patterned tile work and bejeweled trees. But the real draw here is the state-of-the-art humidor with over 400 premium hand-rolled cigars that lend themselves to one of the bar’s barrel-aged Manhattans.
